Cachalot, a Japanese brand, specialises in trail running and cycling caps. Founded in 2001 by a husband-and-wife team (Mr Yoshihito Mukai and Mrs Yoshihito Noriko) from Osaka, Japan, the brand began producing headwear in 2015.

“Cachalot” is the French word for sperm whale, and Noriko is a big fan of these mammals, hence the brand’s logo.

 

Mukai is responsible for Cachalot’s planning, design, and hand-drawing, while his wife, Noriko, handles the sewing. In other words, every product is handmade in small batches at their workshop in Izumi, Osaka. Absolutely made in Japan!

 

Cachalot’s products are inspired by the couple’s experiences in trail running, mountaineering, and cycling, which inform the design and creation of the caps and hats they love to wear.

 

The brand uses Japanese-made fabrics and European fabrics, which are then dyed in Japan. Their caps and hats are suitable for all seasons, including mesh caps for summer and ear-flapped caps for winter.

來自日本品牌Cachalot的核心產品是越野跑及單車帽。品牌是由一對日本大阪的夫妻向井義人和向井紀子在2001年創立，並於2015年開始生產帽子。

Cachalot是法語，意指抹香鯨。向井紀子本人非常喜歡抹香鯨，所以品牌以抹香鯨為標誌。

向井義人（Yoshihito Mukai）負責Cachalot的企劃、設計及手繪，他的妻子向井紀子（ Yoshihito Noriko）則負責縫紉。換句話來說，每件產品均在他們在大阪和泉市的工作室生產，全手工製作，小批量生產。絕對是日本製！

Cachalot採用日本製布料及歐洲進口再在日本印染的布料。帽子四季皆宜，例如夏季網眼帽和冬季帶護耳帽。
